well people, I have decided to not have a pregnancy blog like I did with Kennedy, those posts will be on this blog seeing as I barely post enough for one blog, much less two.
Let me just start with saying, this pregnancy has been crazy different from my last. I am sitting here now thinking about how true everyone was when they said, "every pregnancy is different." I have had people and docs tell me that before, that is doesnt matter the woman or the sex of the baby, or anything, it can still be completely different, and boy do I believe them now. I had myself convinced this baby was a boy bc of how unlike my pregnancy w Kennedy this one was. First off, I was crazy sick from about week 6 weeks to 12 weeks, barfing constantly. I took everything under the sun and nothing made the nausea go away. I was still sick up until about 3 weeks ago, just not barfy, thank heavens. Those prenatals can still get me all messed up though. I definitely have to take it at night, on a full stomach, and then immediately go to sleep, if I dont want to be at the trash can vomiting. To be honest, I skip some nights bc I just dont want to feel sicky icky. Also, this baby started kicking me way earlier than I ever felt Kennedy kick. I think at around 15 weeks was the first time I felt her, and by 17 weeks she was in full force jabs and drop kicks. Even my mom felt her at 17 weeks. I remember not even feeling a flutter til 17 weeks w Kennedy. She is actually kicking me now =) and I love it. I also think that my placenta is in the front this pregnancy and so her kicks feel different. Its likes a bouncy feeling and its a little odd. Kennedy was in the front when I was pregnant w her so it was just a straight up foot in my belly, but this baby has some padding between her and my belly wall. All that to say, same woman, same gender, different pregnancy...
Ok, so let me get into other things I have noticed this go round. I prefer being pregnant in summer time. I do not like wearing jeans and pants and bulky sweaters on top of the fact that Im fat. The band in the pants eventually gets uncomfortable, unlike a sun dress, I cant cover up my growing hips and thighs, and I just dont feel cute in winter type maternity clothes. The dresses and flip flops were way more fun. I am looking forward to the fact that Ill be my fattest in the spring and soon enough I can wear all my maternity dresses and a nice pair of flip flops. I also eat more in winter, as a rule, you know, and so I think Ive gained a lot of weight so far. I think 16 pounds, to be exact. In summer you have so many more options for fresh fruits and vegetables, you can go for nice walks and swims, etc. It's easier for me to stay healthy during those times, as opposed to winter months.
After all that I have explained to you, I need to make sure you all know how much I love this baby girl. When we found out we were pregnant w her, and I was so sick, so very sick, I would literally lay in bed and cry bc I couldnt stand being sick anymore, and Justin would come in and try and make me feel better, and I would tell him, I would do anything for her, and it was ok, If it lasted all nine months and got worse and worse, it was ok, bc I would do whatever it took. It's so weird how my, and Im sure others, perspectives change, once you loose a baby. You stop to feel every little kick, you suck it up when you are hanging over the toilet every hour and tell yourself that its all worth it. You stop complaining, bc you know that while it sucks to feel like crap, its means that something incredible is beginning. And you thank God everyday for fearfully and wonderfully creating it in you. Im not so much a fan of the weight gain, the nausea, the gas, or the oh so attractive fuzzy hamster stomach, but Im a fan of her, and I cant wait to meet her!

Christmas Festivities in Pensacola
I need to go ahead and put down on "paper" about our Christmas fun, before I completely forget. We had a few fun holiday things in Pensacola before we headed to Jacksonville for Christmas break.
We had a fun night at my parents home opening Kennedy's presents from Nanny and Papa. Her guitar, "kitar" as she calls it, was her favorite thing. She is basically a rockstar already.

my favorite present of all =)
making Christmas cookies w mommy
at her cousin Reagan's Christmas Cookie Party
she never eats the cookie, just the icing
the 2010 Manny Family Christmas Tree
We definitely enjoyed our holiday time in Pensacola this year. I knew we would be moving right after the break and so we took advantage of our last few weeks there. It was nice to spend all that time with my family. I miss them already...

yes its true... I am blogging
like NKOTB, Im making a comeback people. I have been out of blogger world for almost two months now, which is ridiculous considering I used to spend most waking baby free moments at the computer, a lot of them blogging. It's also weird bc there actually has been a lot going on, which is weird bc most of my blogs are just ramblings and photos of Kennedy, but events have really taken place and I have blogged none of them. I have no excuse, other than pure laziness, and Im sick of succumbing to my sluggish feelings and have decided to get off the couch and do some of the things I have put off for so long. I vacuumed and mopped this morning, by golly I can blog too.
Just about everyone who reads this blog also checks facebook and is probably a FB friend of mine, thus you know important and not so important details of recent events. One being that we are having a baby, and its a GIRL! Can I get an amen?!?! The appt when we found out was interesting considering I didnt even know I was getting an ultrasound that day, and Justin didnt come w me. My new OB here in NC, whom I LOVE (an appropriate amount) started the u/s and I asked if he was able to see the sex. He said he wasnt looking at that but could and if he could tell, he would share it with me if I wanted to know. I told him that my hubs wasnt near and I didnt want to know before him, so he looked, said he definitely knew what it was, and put it in an sealed and signed envelope for us to open together. I had texted Justin and told him I was getting the u/s so he hopped in the car and drove over and had just pulled up as I walked out with envelope in hand. We got in the car and debated on opening it or not, for about 15 seconds, and then tore into to see that it was a very Kennedy-look-a-like little girl. we love her. She has a name, some people know it, some dont, but I still have no middle name, so I havent shared it super publicly yet. Soon though. I'll get on her middle name eventually. I also have decided that I will have baby posts, and not baby posts, and will put a clear sign that this is a baby post in the title of such blogs. I know some dudes and certain gals, dont want to read all the baby/pregnancy info, such as my fuzzy stomach (why does my stomach get so fuzzy during pregnancy?!?! GROSS!) so I will forewarn you so you can skip that blog for the day. Your welcome =)
So, next thing that has been on my mind and taking up my day, the house. I have begun to decorate here and there. We have only painted the living and kitchen area and Im having a hard time picking colors for the other rooms. I also have a hard time hanging things bc Im afraid Ill change my mind and then I'll be stuck with umpteen wholes in our walls. I really just need someone with a good eye to come help me and tell me where to put everything. Justin has told me time and time again, that if I just picked the colors he would be painting and hanging and the house would be done, Im just a little indecisive. Anyone who wants to come help me, let me know!
a peak of our bedroom. I finally found a bedding set I liked, Justin isnt so fond of the ruffles, but he's getting used to it. Im going with accents of green and turquoise so decor is still a work in progress as is a paint color
I know I missed a few big things in the past few weeks, and I'll be posting those things later on this week:
~A nice lil christmas post
~Our last couple weeks in FL
~New job/church stuff happening
~Some things I've learned recently bc God continues to tell me He isnt done w me. I know, you thought I was perfect!
and of course updates on the baby, my growing belly, and the house as I continue to need advice and opinions on what in the world Im doing...and then when its all done, a home tour maybe.?.?.?
and bc Im lazy, I wont be proofreading this entry, so please forgive any errors, not in grammar necessarily, bc I never try to do that correctly anyway...right Hosa?!
I'll be back soon, hopefully. The first blog back is out of the way, which starting back up is the hardest part so I got that out of the way.
