a couple things

great Doc appt today. PTL. I had a crazy nightmare last night and the morning seem to drag on until I got there and heard that lil heart beating. Stupid nightmares. Stupid Satan.

Also, house stuff in NC is a little crazy so PRAY that Justin and I figure stuff out and make a wise decision on the living situation.

And lastly, thanks to the awesomeness of Eddie Mullins, I will now be in attendance of the ACC Championship Game. In the ATT suite...which is awesome for this cold natured slightly nauseous pregger, to have the comforts of a suite. But honestly, Ill want to be w the crazies, if Im feeling good =) Please beat Virginia Tech...

Have a great weekend everyone! Go NOLES!

goodbye MOVEMBER!

Im so glad today is the last day of November. Why do you ask? Bc my husband decided to take part in this little movement, Movember. You can click on the link to learn all about it, but basically you grow a mustache for the month of November to raise money for cancer research. People sponsor you or something. I have been living with this guy

At first it was a fu man chu, but Justin felt that people were judging him...so he shaved off the stripes and just kept the stache.  It's weird seeing him w a stache, he sorta looks like he's 45 years old or something. Anyway, I am not going to miss it. I have so missed his upper lip.

a Country Thanksgiving

ya know one  reason you shouldnt go so long between blog posts...bc you forget what's happened and its hard to know where to start. I cant pick up where I left off, bc I can even remember what has happened. Thus, I depend on my pictures to tell the story of the past month...Apparently I havent taken a lot of pictures however. So basically, here is our Thanksgiving =)

We spent Thanksgiving in Evergreen w my mom's side of the family. I absolutely love the Johnson family. They are all so fun and so sweet, and even though I go 5 years between visits with them, I still feel comfortable and welcome, and always have a good time with them. They dont do anything normal, so of course before we could have our Thanksgiving dinner, we had to have the bi annual Johnson Olympic Competition. There was some stilt walking involved, along with, barrel rolling, hill billy golf, fire wood chopping and loading, kickball, puzzles, and other things I cant even remember...it was nuts, but so fun. I was actually sore the next day since I have done nothing active in the past three months. We eventually got to eat, and it was worth the wait and oh so delicious. After dinner Justin and I took Kennedy on the Mule (not an actual mule, but rather a massive golf cart looking thing for off road) down to the pond and Kennedy tried fishing...didnt really work out, being that she is nuts, but she did stick her fishing pole in the water for at least 5 seconds.

This was Kennedy a couple weeks ago and then at thanksgiving dinner she found my cousin Mandy's boots. She has become very fond of boots, mine, hers, anyones...

 my favorite peeps, hands down
Everyone. We were trying to get posed for  a picture yet after we got posed somehow no one took a pic w my camera, so this is the best I got...its a crazy bunch!

Well there has been a lot going on. We are moving, having a baby, and Justin will start a new job soon in a new state. I'll have to update later about all that craziness. I have a doc appt on Thursday, so be praying that everything is going great. Then we fly out friday to NC to find a place to leave hopefully, so pray that goes smoothly and we can find a great place. I'll update you all when I return! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Happy Holidays!

But I will return soon. I promise! Also, Justin just put the new iLife on our computer and now my pictures are all out of order and I cant quite figure out where my most recent ones are...so its a little difficult to put pics up.

a Fall Festivity

Well Ive been trying to find something fally and fun to do with K this year. We dont have the plethora of fall stuff surrounding us like we did when we lived in the midwest, but alas, there are some things to do around here. Saturday I was pretty bored and decided around oh, nap time, I would call up Heather and we would take the girls to a Corn Maize. Our husbands were lazy and wanted to sit on the couch and watch football all day, which in hindsight I totally should have made Justin come, bc I was exhausted chasing her around by myself. And maybe I wouldnt have had to ride this with her....

it was a little tight for this big ol rear end, but we made it...
and had fun nonetheless, and K now wants a pony...

heather, why is it I cant get ONE picture of the two of them looking at the camera?

Kennedy was loving the corn pool, I thought it was sort of nasty

 Pony Ride Time!

 giving him kisses =)

my girl is TWO!

I really cant believe I have a two year old. I just got used to her being 1 and not being an infant anymore, and now I have to accept that she is already TWO!?!??! How in the world does time pass by this quickly? It sort of bums me out that she is growing up so fast, but I know it makes for a healthy happy girl and that is definitely a blessing!

She has fun day on her birthday. I think her favorite part was all the phone calls and singing of happy birthday. It was hilarious that by the end of the day she knew the song so well and was singing it to herself.

We started out the day with a fun breakfast, mickey mouse pancakes with sprinkles, whipped cream, and a candle.

Then we went over to my aunt's house and took Kennedy out on the party boat. Kennedy had so much fun, I just know she will be talking about it for days. We took the boat to White Island, which is a little island that is surrounded my shallow water. You can just walk from island to island. Its nice to have all that shallow water with a kid, bc she can touch the bottom everywhere.

feeding the geese
driving the boat and making mommy very sea sick

she was LOVING Macy and Kota

Afterwards we met daddy for lunch at Sonny's, and then came home to take a nap. That night we took the donations that people brought to her party and dropped them off at The Ronald McDonald house.
Then we went and got some dinner and picked up a fun cookie of Kennedy's choice for her birthday "cake." I didnt get an actual cake bc after her party I seriously could not look at icing or eat another sweet. She picked the cookie with "pwinkles." We headed home for presents and "cake" and a little fun before bed time.

We got her a computer for her birthday, its not a MAC but she still likes it =)
the only family photo I could get...she's not very cooperative in front of the camera...

Happy Birthday sweet girl! Im so proud to be your mommy and love with everything I have!

Guess Whooo is Turning Two! The Details

I had such a blast planning Kennedy's birthday party this year. Unlike her 1st birthday, she was actually aware of what was going on a bit more and played and ate all the goodies and whatnot. I knew before her first birthday that for her second I really wanted to do the whole "whooo is twoo" thing. It rhymed, HELLO! how fun is that!?!? So with the owl theme I went! It turned out just how I wanted it and she has a blast at her party.

Come on in and see all the details!

The invitations. My sweet husband made them and we had them printed. Very affordable that way.

The Cake and Sweets Table
Everything is blue and green, of course =) except the owl, bc Kennedy needed a girl owl...

 the birthday cake!

food table

 favor boxes

 food and drink tent

I meant to take a picture of these earlier, but I ended up getting it with only two sandwiches left. This is so great and easy for kids parties. You can find just about any shape cookie cutter online and make PB&J's cut out to go with your party theme!

even the drinks were blue and green =)

My friend Christi made her birthday outfit! thanks Christi! She looked adorable in it!

Now I am going to enjoy this break from party planning...Im one tired momma!

Kennedy's 2nd Birthday Party!

Kennedy's 2nd birthday party has officially come and gone, and I feel bittersweet about it. Im happy because its over and I no longer have a to do list every single day, but Im a little sad bc my girl is turning two, and thats just crazy sounding! Here are some pictures from our fun time yesterday.

We had it outside in Aunt Sandi's backyard. It was perfect for all the kids and very shady, which was nice since it was unseasonably warm. Sandi and Clinton have a great playground too so the kids had fun on that.

"I like to go up the slide too"

We had cornhole, ring toss, and lots of fun outdoor kid toys. Little ones are pretty easily entertained.
Dino was a hit! the kids were loving bouncing on him! ha

 Love these girls!
 "did I do that?"
 Pinata time!
 snacks with friends
Amanda helping the girls play t-ball
uh-oh! what's happening? you turn two and get a boyfriend? I dont think so!
opening some presents!
We Love our Girl!

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and make her day special.
It was great to have you all with us!

More pictures tomorrow of all those details I worked so very hard on...
