updates on Quinn

One Week Old

Her first bottle at about 3.5 weeks old. I haven't given her a bottle in about a month though so I should probably try again and make sure she'll still take one.

I think she enjoyed it...I COULD SQUEEZE HER! I just think she is the cutest thing

She is such a good baby. Usually pretty happy, just about always consolable. Sleeps a good stretch at night. I mean she cries sometimes...bless her heart =)

Lake Jordan

A couple weeks ago, Justin had a day at Lake Jordan planned for the students. We had fun playing in the water, tubing on the boat, and having water balloon fights. 

Me and my love. This was the day after our six year anniversary. I couldn't help but think that six years ago this day I woke up next to him for the first time ever for the rest of our lives! I love this boy!

Visitors

Since Quinn arrived, we have had a lot of visitors stop through here. I have loved every minute of it! I love having our friends and family come into town. I feel so loved and appreciate them really making an effort to visit us and meet Quinn. Having great people like that in our lives is the biggest blessing. 

Jo and Brant came into town while Justin took some students on a mission trip. I SO appreciated and loved them being here. I was going to be alone all week with our two small kiddos and wasn't too sure how that would go over. It was an exhausting week having no husband to yell, "go get the baby" at, but it was a fun week with one of my favorite girls!

Right after Quinn was born, our friends from Cincinnati, Haley and Brian, were driving through on their way home from vacation. It was so great to see them and meet their little girl too! They have the cutest kids! We miss them so much!

Last weekend, my bff Kristi came in town all the way from Berkeley, CA. She was only here for a total of about 52 hours, but it was jam packed with fun.

4th of July in Pensacola

After Justin got back from taking the students to youth camp, we headed down to Florida for some much needed fun in the sun and family time. I was so excited for everyone to meet Quinn!

While we were down there, Kennedy became crazy comfortable in the pool and jumping off the diving board. She would wake up in the morning and first thing, ask if she could get her bathing suit on and go off the diving board. Check out that form!

We went down to the beach for dinner one night and took a bunch of family photos. It was crazy windy but gorgeous. Kennedy loved playing in the sand and was covered by the time we left. Quinn was not too fond of the sand, wind, or sun. 

I need another vacation already.

Kennedy seriously LOVES having photo sessions with my iPhone. I love how she will do whatever I say and makes the goofiest faces. She is the most fun hilarious kid...and my best friend.

Justin didn't actually wear this, but Afton and I did make him put it on for at least a picture. Afton did however wear the glasses and scarf to the midnight showing of Harry Potter, but she looks pretty stylish for wearing HP paraphernalia.
