This weekend my friend Jenny and I took our girls to the baby expo here in town. It was pretty cool to see all the different types of organizations, stores, products, etc. that are out there for our little ones. A couple of the baby boutiques from here, were at the expo with their stuff. Super cute, and super hard to not buy it all up. There was a little petting zoo too but Kennedy totally slept through everything. She didnt even see the cute bunnies behind her or the adorable baby goats. Im pretty positive she doesnt feel as though she missed out.

isnt she marvelous?
in one of my previous posts i talked about my favorite things about kennedy. one was how she sleeps with her arms over her head. I just think its so cute. Well I caught her in the act and had my camera on hand so I took a picture =)

Well after the expo we decided to do a little shopping. when I was a little girl my mom used to call me Miss Marvelous. it was one of my many nicknames, my parents were big on nicknames. She even had a shirt airbrushed for me. remember the airbrushing days? She gave it to me at one of my baby showers and told me Kennedy needed to have it to wear one day, (its a 2T) but when I saw this onesie I knew she needed one of her very own to wear now!

Etsy

I have been spending a lot of time on the computer lately, and I blame it on my newfound love for Etsy. I have glanced at this site before, but the other day I went to the baby category, and there is just SO much stuff! I looked through pages and pages of the cutest clothes, onesies, burpclothes, quilts, headbands, etc. I was literally on there for like 3 hours. Its addicting. I am so amazed at how talented all the people are that have shops on it. You all should definitely go and check it out. There are a few shops at the top of my list that I will definitely be ordering from, so if you want to know which ones are really great, just ask and ill let you know! Its just cute one of a kind stuff, so unique!

the obsession that is twitter

so I have noticed that everything and everyone is on twitter now. the other night after the president spoke, there was even a twitter feed on after thoughts of the address. this morning on the way home I heard the people on the radio talking about it, and now the radio station has begun to twitter. they were talking about why people twitter. are we all just ego maniacs that think everyone cares about what we are doing? do our "followers" really think we are THAT interesting. im not saying all who twitter are ego maniacs, this is just what the radio people were discussing. however, it got me thinking about why i do it. maybe i am an ego maniac, but mostly, im a stay at home mom that likes to see what other people are doing and feel connected to the world that walks upright. dont get me wrong, i love kennedy hanging with her all day is my favorite, but after i put her down for a nap, clean up a bit, make a lunch and finally sit down on the couch, its nice to get on the computer and see what people like me are doing, or what people who dont stay at home all day are doing too. i admit, i am turning into a bit of an internet junky. what with all the facebook, twitter, email, and blogging, but im ok with that...

im a lucky girl
so its wednesday, one of my more hectic days. i take care of 5 different kiddos on tuesday and wednesday, including my own, and this week, justin too. his car is in the shop so now i have another person to chauffer around and make sure that they are getting to and from everything. i feel a little overwhelmed. there have been a few points in the day that i have thought i may lose my mind. its just crazy tending to everyone's schedule, i literally have no time to do anything for myself, which is fine, im not trying to throw a pity party. i just went from being a new mom of one, to like a crazy soccer mom with 5 kids. the only thing that gets me through all the chaos, is my sweet little girls face. i love her so very much. being her mom is the most rewarding role i have ever had. i love everything about her. i think everything she does is wonderful, and everytime she does anything, its the cutest thing i have ever seen. today i was trying to think about my favorite thing about her, and i just cant, so here is a list of what i came up with...
1. she is so cute when she gets sleepy. she turns her head away from everything trying to shut it all out and get herself a nap. also, when she falls good and asleep she puts her arms up above her head.
2. her bottom, i was getting her ready for her bath last night and her bottom is just so cute. and she loves being naked. she gets so excited when its bath time and i get her all undressed. she just lays there all kicking and giggling waiting for the bath to be ready.
3. i love holding her on my hip. i loved when she was little too and would just snuggle up to me, but now that she is a big girl and sits up nice and tall, carrying her around on my hip is fun. she watches everything i do and tries to grab whatever is in my hand, and of course, put it in her mouth.
4. i like how she loves her hands. she always looks at them as though she is asking ,"are these mine? cool!"
5. She is so excited by Baby Einstein videos. She gets so happy when it comes on. I just put her in her bounce bounce baby and get some stuff done for those 30 minutes, but part of me wants to sit in there with her so i can watch her laugh and bounce and dance along to the video
6. She squeals. She can make the MOST high pitched noises. Its hilarious. I love listening to her. especially in the car. the other day on the way somewhere justin and i were cracking up. she was literally saying. blah blah bah blah bah blah, over and over, haha, hilarious
7. i love when she wakes up, and sees me, its as though its the first time in so long she has seen me. she grins from ear to ear. it makes me feel so special and loved.
8. taking walks is my favorite! she stares at me the whole time. im pretty sure she adores me. or maybe she just thinks im funny looking.
9. she is so aware of everything now. she started rolling over a while ago and is already starting to scoot. she sees stuff across the room that she wants to get to and tries so badly to move, but her movement is of course limited. when im changing her, she wants to grab everything. she just wants to see what it does, if it makes noise, what it feels like. its so cute.
10. my favorite thing of all is how she grabs my cheeks. when im holding her real close, she will place a hand on each cheek and giggle. it makes me the happiest girl in all the world. then i of course kiss her all over.
so on these crazy days when i think i may lose it, i just look at her, and i feel blessed. so thank you God for giving her to me.

she's ready for more
so we started kennedy on cereal last friday. she is no longer on purely breast milk. she was just sending me signs that she was ready for something more in her diet. she loved the cereal! she did so well. she opened her mouth right up and took the spoon like a pro, i was actually a little disappointed by the lack of mess. i was hoping for a really awesome picture with her face covered in cereal, but she is too proper for that i suppose. we are just giving her like a tablespoon each morning for now. she is just such a big girl =)

weekends are the best!
my stud and me. we may have the baby out on our date, but we can still have fun right?
this past weekend, the family and I had quite a fun-filled time. A good friend from church turned 18 on sunday, which if you can remember, was a big deal when we all turned 18. Well we all went out on friday night to celebrate. We met up at Dewey's pizza, which is my favorite pizza place in town. It's a little bit like a california pizza kitchen type of pizza place. fancy pizzas and whatnot. it delicious! anyway, after that we headed over to the barnes and noble and all just sat around chatting and flipping through magazines. i love doing that at barnes and noble. i could sit in there for hours just browsing. kennedy was up way past her bed time and actually did quite well. she also rolled over again on the floor of barnes and noble and justin missed it, yet again. she is very moody with this whole rolling thing, she really has to be wanting to do it, to do it. it was so great to be out though and have fun with everyone. thanks for a fun night anderson's!
me and the birthday girl!
all the babies at dinner. they are ALL enchanted by KP's music toy. thats why I call it the magic toy!
saturday was like 75 degrees here!! it was incredible. we made a point to be outside pretty much all day. i took fred for a walk and then a little later we all went to the dog park. kennedy was so cute in her hat and chilling in the bjorn. i thing she likes hanging out in that. fred had a fantastic time of course and was wiped out for the next two days after all that play time. we dropped fred back off at home and then headed to a friends house to meet their new baby. we then were invited over to a friends house to grill out. we get really excited up here whenever a glimpse of spring shows itself. we have to take advantage, because the next day...it may be 20 again!!!!!
it was a little chillier on sunday, but nothing unbearable. after church and then lunch we all came home and kennedy allowed justin and i a nice little nap. well, justin calls his napcar. its the nap he takes while watching nascar...

i hope everyone had a nice weekend as well.

there's no place like home...
"Justin, Kennedy and I just got back from a quick trip to Pensacola last weekend. We had a few things we needed to do and we REALLY wanted to meet our new nephew. My sister Leah and her husband have two beautiful girls but felt God leading them to adopt. They started the process over two years ago and few weeks ago finally went to Haiti to bring Caleb to his new home! He was living in an orphanage there and I know he is a little shell shocked right now but he is adjusting beautiful and is an amazing kid. I feel so blessed to have this addition to our family.
Kennedy also met her other cousins. This was the first time she had met any of her cousins. She has a few more to meet but we were able to see most of them. i think she had a good time. This picture is of her with cousin Charis, who is closest in age.
Well, the trip was also yet ANOTHER good bye to the VDM's to Africa. i feel like sending them off to africa is a full time job. None the less, im glad to be there to give hugs to two amazing people and cant wait to see them again. sooner rather than later, right kris?
We had a great time with our family and friends and even getting to see one of our youth guys from Cincinnati that we led in small group just last year. He joined the marines and happens to be in pensacola for training right now.
I have to go get in bed now because its the dern Spring forward tonight so morning is coming sooner, meaning i need to be ready for church sooner, meaning i need to go to sleep now. Ciao!
