Zoo day

Last Monday, my friend Jenny and I took our baby girls to the zoo. It was such a nice day and so beautiful there! I dont know if you are aware, but Cincinnati is ranked high on the zoo list in the US, and especially high for a good zoo for children. The girls had such a great time and I really enjoyed just being out and seeing all the cool animals and the botanical beauty =)

She thought the giraffe eating so close to us was just hilarious!
Kaylyn was trying to get up in there I think
she didnt so much want to sit facing forwards and look at animals. she just wanted to play with the little boy behind us
polar bears are my favorite!

this was the end of the day and poor Kaylyn was so sleepy. I like this picture anyway, Kennedy's saying, "what's up with her? we are the ZOO!"

Fun Friday at King's Island

Last week, Justin and I were asked to work an event at King's Island. We were to help with the merchandise table and hand out free stuff to the people there who came to the Freedom Tour Concert. We immediately said YES, who doesnt want to make a little extra money, get into King's Island for free, and go to a concert??? We needed to find some other people to help as well, so we asked a few of our friends. We were exhausted by the end of the day with the sun beaming down on us and the NEVER ENDING line of people that were there to get stuff, but it was so fun! We were done working around 7 and listened to a little bit of music and then headed off to ride the new roller coaster. I LOVE roller coasters and this was one was definitely intense. We took Kennedy on the carousel too, I think she liked it! It was nice that one of our friends with us was pregnant bc she just hung out with KP so we could ride. Here are a few pictures from our day at the amusement park...

what's been goin on...

I dont really have much to talk about so ill just show you some pictures of whats been going on...

have you seen Kennedy with her little grandma walker? she really likes it! and I think she looks like an old lady =)

we took kennedy up to the park two weekends ago. fred came too. he just barked at everyone and kennedy scrame while swinging. not the bad kind of screaming, just the "IM HAVING SO MUCH FUN! WEEEE" baby fun screaming. we were the loudest crew there. but she does LOVE to swing...and be loud...

and we had a dance party the next day...

I had my 26th birthday. Justin and I dropped off KP and went to movie and dinner at this little Italian place I keep wanting to try. It was so fun and I had a good time being out with my man. Me and my sweet family on my 26th

its been a busy few weeks. Im trying to get some stuff together to do for a job AND plan Kennedy's first birthday. I have been having SO much fun planning! Justin and I designed invites last night and are now looking for a good place to get them printed for a good price. Then its on to making all the decorations. We already have birthday outfits too. Im a little ahead but I just like being prepared =) I really like having parties, by the way.

This past weekend we all went to Kings Island and the Zoo so stay tuned for some fun pictures from that! Have a great week!

lovin the new look

While I was gone to FL that last week in Pensacola, Justin was home in Cincinnati all by his little self. However, he was a very busy boy! He worked so very hard ripping up all the icky carpet that Fred had ruined and refinished our hardwood floors underneath. I absolutely love the new look of the house! It is so nice, and even though I feel the need to sweep, vacuum, mop, like EVERYDAY, its nice knowing its clean. Carpet just grosses me out a little, especially with a pup like Fred. Who knows whats in there???

The dining room

Justin isnt really into my choice of rug, but I think its AWESOME.

Now the living room

I still want a rug for the living room, a more cozy one that Kennedy and I can lay on and play! Maybe one like thisWell I hope we get all the little things done soon. We still have to fix the bottom of the baseboards with a toekick or something. There is space where the carpet used to be and its bugging me a little. For now, I am satisfied with the little project. Thanks babe for all your hard work! and everyone else who helped too!

A Perfect 10

Kennedy Paige turned 10 months yesterday! can you even believe it? She is getting SO big and learns new little tricks every day. She eats a lot of table food these days too. On her ten month birthday I took her to Chik fil A and she had some chicken and french fries, and maybe just a little ice cream off mommy's ice cream cone =) Here are pictures of my growing girl that I took yesterday

back from vacation

So I am officially done with vacation and back to work, if you could really call what I do work. I really do love my job as a nanny. It makes for enjoyable days hanging out with cool kiddos. I do however still need a vacation even though my work isnt super stressful, just to step away from my usual day to day. I did just that for the past 17 days! Craziness being gone for that long, but it was SO nice!

After we left Jacksonville, Justin drove up to Tallahassee where my dad was waiting to pick me and KP up. Dad and I hadnt told mom I was coming so she was totally shocked to see us! I love surprises! Justin and Fred came back to Ohio and I was not prepared to be away from hubs all week long. It's even worse now that we have Kennedy. I thought it would be better bc I would have her with me, but really I was just sad that he wasnt there with me to play with her and take her fun places. I think she missed him too. Whenever she was real sad and neither my mom or I could help her she would just saying dadadada. So sweet that she wanted him real bad too!

We had fun relaxing in the pool and playing with some other babies too! She also had a little trip to the Gulf and ate some more sand of course =) She was such a trooper through all the trips to and from different places. I tried to keep her days as normal as possible so she could nap but its a little hard on vacation when you want to go places and everyone was wanting to see her.

Sunday after church we made our way towards Nashville to meet Justin so I could get back to Cincinnati. It was a long day and a late night but it was so good to be have my family together again. I came home to my new beautiful hardwood floors, which I love. There was also quite a mess. I spent the entire day yesterday cleaning and vacuuming dust, and washing the walls. It was crazy and I am so SORE! We had to move all the furniture back in once the floors dried and I am serioulsy aching from it all. Ill put some pictures up soon after I get everything back in order.

Here a few more pictures of our fun in Pensacola!

Having fun honking auntie Christi's horn
My flowers from my sweet husband on our anniversary. Note to self: no more spending anniversaries apart
Kennedy and Lyla at Dharma Blue before Music in the Park. They had such a blast, I think they will be great friends =)

Nanny and Papa love their sweet Kennedy!
With Aunt Jo Jo at the beach
we stopped in Evergreen so my mom's aunt and uncle could meet Miss K. I think they hit it off!
Kennedy, are you happy to see daddy again after a whole week???

Fun in the Sun Part Two {that did not rhyme}

Tomorrow we leave Jacksonville and vacation is officially over =( We have had such a blast in FL and I know Kennedy has had just TOO much fun! I have SO many pictures so basically I will just fill you in with a photo album of the past few days. It has been jam packed with fun so forgive the multiple photos...

The sweetest little face Ive ever seen...

Friday the boys and girls went their separate ways. Justin and Floyd went to play golf, and Myra, Kennedy, and I went to the outlets and then came home and swam some before heading out that night.

Everyone seemed surprised that I had never been to Old St. Augustine considering the many times I have been to Jax, so they decided that I needed to go. It was so fun and very neat to see all the stuff they have there.

We visited the fort, ate dinner at the Florida Cracker and walked around.

Kennedy sitting on one of the cannons

I couldnt leave without eating one of these

It's called a truffle puff. Basically its your standard marshmellows covered in caramel and milk chocolate...delicious. By the way, when on vacation, diet is pretty much out the window.

Kennedy has had some new things on this trip of which I will have to post to the video blog. She is just so smart and HILARIOUS! anywho, she also started brushing her teefers. So cute!

Some more fun in the pool

And the dogs had fun too. They love being cousins...

Kennedy just LOVES her Nana and Papa Floyd and is so sad to leave

Well that's all I got folks. I know, lots of pictures in this post. We are leaving tomorrow headed home and I am so sad to leave, but we are all thankful for this time away and all the fun with the family. I love summer vacations!
