GO SEMINOLES!

Yesterday was such fun in Tallahassee watching the Noles stomp WAKE with that big goose egg in the end. I loved being back on campus and walking around familiar places, remembering college days, and being those old alumni that talks about all the changes. "Well that wasnt here when we graduated" and "that used to be a pool!" Feels like we are still those people, but then we see the people that actually go to college there and they just look so little, and Im definitely not that little kid anymore, despite how I may feel.

We got into town and met up with the Manny's and Ash and Hamid for lunch. I picked Jim & Milts bc I love their buffalo chicken and ranch and well, I used to work there and thought it would be fun revisit! It was so great to see Ash and Hamid again after too many months apart. We were most definitely grateful to see the Manny's being that they came all that way just to see us for a bit and then hang out with Kennedy so we could watch the game sans baby. How awesome are they!?!? We ate, found some parking spots, and then got some new FSU gear and headed to the stadium. Kennedy was particularly fond of the foam finger and wouldnt let me have it to take into the game, even though the reason I bought it was bc I wanted to be THAT fan that was annoying with my big foam finger...oh well, she always wins and ends up taking whats rightfully mine.

My sweet little FSU cheerleader. She was a sweaty mess but surprisingly chipper =)

please excuse the rest of these pictures, I took them on my phone

I hope we get to go back to some more games this year. If you have any free or super cheap tickets, give me a call!

she's a beaut!

Here are some of the pictures I just got in from Tara! (of TLohse Photography) Thanks Tar! Im sure it wasnt too fun taking pictures in 95 degree weather, of my fussy girl who, I later learned, was running a fever and not feeling great. But somehow, you still got great pictures of her!

busy bees

Dont let me fool you, I prefer busy over not busy. I do enjoy the occasional times with nothing to do, but I am most happy when there are a lot of things on the calendar. These next 6 weeks are crazy and I LOVE it. No complaints. This weekend was pretty jam packed as well, and so fun!

Friday night, we went to my ol Alma Mater for a football game. Kennedy wasnt digging it at first. As we were walking in she was saying, "no like it." She got a snack and a good diaper change and was singing a different tune a few minutes later =) Thats all it takes I guess. It was funny being at the stadium again. It was different in so many ways, but felt the exact same. Kennedy had fun playing on the big hill with her friend Lyla and Heather and I got to just talk and not watch the football.

watching the marching band...oooo
I didnt realize how much sun I got that day til looking at these pictures. Yikes!

We headed home at half time for bed time. Kennedy stayed with my parents and Justin and I went back to our house and watched Whip It. I recommend it, it was good.

Saturday I woke up and headed to Krispy Kreme. I have been craving those Apple Harvest donuts of theirs, and felt today was a good day to cheat on my diet...I may have eaten 4...I have no self control. I met my mom and Kennedy at an antique shop. They were having a big 5 and Dime sale with fun extras too. There was a bounce house, free snacks, live music. It was fun looking around and Kennedy was having an absolute party in the bounce house. She loved playing on a all the gymnastics equipment they had there too. A gym was there promoting their place and had some stuff set up. She was quite the little tumbler. We found a few cute things, had some fun, and headed back home.

Later that night we met up with some friends for movie and a late night dinner at Apple Bee's. We saw Inception. Again, I would recommend this. Very good!

Sunday was Claire's birthday party at the beach. We headed out early and had coffee before hand. We had been without Kennedy a lot this weekend, it was so weird! It was nice to have time to ourselves though. We do like each other a little bit...We got to the beach and Claire was SO excited about her princess birthday party! how cute it she?!?

We had a yummy lasagna lunch, opened presents, and ate cake.

Then we headed out to the beach. Unfortunately, the water was DISGUSTING and green with gunk. I was not about to get in. Kennedy played in the sand for over an hour and then I sent her home with my parents because it was 3 hours past her nap time, meaning she got no nap really, since her nap is 3 hours...It was a rough night too, she was grumpy when we got home and was so over tired it was hard getting her down. She did sleep in til 945 this morning, so Im thinking she is caught up on sleep.

This weekend we are headed to Tallahassee for some FSU football. I hope they play as good as they didnt this past Saturday and whoop WAKE! Win or lose, it will be so great to be back at Doak! Now I just have to get everything done for the shower and party this week so Im not stressed out next week.

Hope your weekend was good!

whole lot of nothing

where have I been?!? No where really. That's why I havent been blogging. I have absolutely nothing going on these days besides the usually errands, child care, party planning, and online shopping of course. I have taken no pictures, I have gone no where interesting, and have done nothing noteworthy. Therefore, I will now blog about the meaningless things I have been doing.

1. Party planning. A bridal shower and a birthday party, in just three weeks. One on the 2nd, one on the 9th. Its crunch time, so I have been working on the invitations, printables, decorations, menu, etc...Today, I went to every craft store. Michaels, Hob Lob, and Joann's. No lie. And I made purchases at all three, bc just one didnt have everything I needed. It was crazy errand day.

2. MOPS. I went to a MOPS group this past week. It was AWESOME! I had such a great time meeting other fun moms and eating some yummy food. It was nice to sit and chat with those fun ladies.

3. Crafting. I cant reveal my crafts, for one is a wedding gift for Sara and Jamey, and the other isnt finished yet.

4. Online shopping. One of my faves, ModCloth. Such gorgeous dresses. I would like both of these please

5. Applying for jobs. We are in serious need of extra cash flow. I would like something part time, considering Kennedy is awesome, and my favorite job is just being home taking care and playing with her. Let me know if any of you readers have a clue as to what I could do.

6. Dieting. My bridesmaids dress for Sara's wedding fit when I ordered in, but now, you can definitely tell that I suck in a LOT just to zip it up...I ate a green salad and grapes for dinner tonight. Im so sick of that sort of food...shoulda got the 6.

So yea, thats whats been going on. Along with re runs of the Office and Friends. Oh, and FSU and Jaguar  football of course...

exciting huh?

a fun Labor Day weekend

Why is the weekend only two days? It should always be three days. I feel that three days is the perfect amount of time to feel like you actually had a break from the week, not that I work, but I enjoy having Justin off work =)

We had a nice weekend with the perfect amount of fun things on the schedule and free time to just relax.

Friday night my mom, Kennedy and I had a little girl time. We had to hit up Gymboree bc they got new fall stuff in and its OWLS! Right up my alley! Afterwards we went to Macaroni Grill for a delicious meal. I love girl time.

Afterwards, my mom took Kennedy home and Justin and I went and saw a movie. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. It was a really interestingly funny film, I must say. Some might not enjoy such a unique flick, but I was rather entertained.

Saturday was the first Florida State game of the season, so of course we were watching =) Game day ready!

Around half time, Kennedy and I headed to miss Jubilee's birthday party. It was at Gymboree so you know a good time was had!

Sunday, we decided at the last minute to drive to the beach and have a fun family evening out there. It was so gorgeous and the water felt great, the weather was beautiful, and Kennedy was in such a fun playful mood. I seriously want to go to the beach every Sunday afternoon for the next month. Summer isnt over in FL yet!
sweet baby
Im sorry, but I just love this picture of us. I am so very in love with this little girl
Labor Day we spent most the morning getting things done around the house. Cleaning out the garage, washing the cars, cleaning the house. Not K though, she just played in her pool. Later that afternoon Heather, Rhett, and Lyla came over for some grilling out and playtime. It was a nice relaxing day and Im sad Jus has to go back to work tomorrow.
momma hit up happy hour at Sonic, and we sat on the front porch watching daddy wash the cars...in my cowboy hat of course
chattin in the front yard, lookin all cute

oh, and if you couldnt tell, a lot of those pics were taken on my phone so sorry about the quality =/

Hope you all had a great long weekend!

I heart playdates

Last week, Kennedy and I met up with my friend Christi and her sweet girl Charleigh. I just love get togethers with my mommy friends and their kids. It's a nice break from just me and Kennedy. I like talking with a good friend, and I like her getting to play with other kiddos.

We went to the Roger Scott kiddie pool bc I had heard some good things about it and have been wanting to give it a try. It did not disappoint. It was only $4 and we had a blast!
such a little diva =)
out on her own, just swimming around...I couldnt believe how independent she was out there. She didnt even care about my whereabouts...
sweet Char baby =)
