On our way home from Cincinnati, we decided to take our sweet time and make a nice long pit stop in Louisville. I dont know what has sparked this new found love for adventure in my husband, but I like it. I really think I owe it all to Gowalla. The boy likes to "check in" at as many cool places as possible, and thus he likes to go to cool places...and not cool places too. In my 7 years of knowing him, he has never been this guy who talks about visiting here or there, or traveling to such and such a place. Now he does, and I really dont know what has come over him, but I am enjoying that he now shares in my desires to see and do everything! And we are having fun!
So the main reason for our stop in Louisville, was the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. Justin was loving the tour, I was just wondering along playing on my phone. I did like the part at the end where we got a free little bat.
The real fun was when we got to go look around, and hit the batting cages. We got to choose a bat to use that previously belonged to a MLB player. I chose Cincinnati Reds Brandon Phillips...mainly bc his bat was the lightest on the list =) I was seriously, sore the next day. From TEN swings! I've been skipping the gym lately, but I didnt know it would show just yet! Not only are my jeans tighter, but I get sore SO easy.
we have such fun together...im in love
Griffey
as Kennedy said, "Big bat!"
Afterwards we found Lynn's Paradise Cafe. I went to this place with my friend Katie, years ago. All the girls in the wedding went for her bridal lunch. I remembered it being fun and yummy so I suggested we find it while we were there and check it out together this time. It was certainly delicious, and still funky and eclectic inside. I love places like that.
I cant believe summer is almost over. Labor day is just two days away and then I'll be getting into Fall mode. I do love Fall, but Im trying to enjoy these last few days of summer. Before you know it, it will be cold and we'll be craving summer again...
